It's been too long since we've had a Web Standards Meetup here in the Netherlands, so now it's time for a new one. This time we're going to try and rival NEWD (New England Web Designers) by drinking more beer than them. I bring you: DEWD!

That's right, it's time for DEWD: Dutch Enthousiastic Web Designers! We'll be discussing web standards and all its related topics such as beer, restaurants, pizza and politics. Want to join? Add your name to the list on our Meetings wiki!

When?

Sunday, July 24th, 2005. That's ten days from now, or 240 hours, or 14,400 minutes, or 864,000 seconds. Whichever floats your boat best.

Oh, and it starts at 2 PM.

Where?

The Bruine Boon, in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Why?

Because it's where all the cool kids will be on that day. This is your chance for autographs!

Also, because we need to drink more beer than NEWD and we can use the help.

A web standards meetup, silly. We've had them over and over and over again in the past.

That's the plan. It's also why this post is so similar to NEWD's. Yes, it's intentional.

After lunch and drinks at the Bruine Boon, there's a good chance we'll continue for pizza at our favorite pizza parlor in Leiden: Karalis Pizzeria.
