Faruk Ateş
Faruk Ateş is truly a self-made man. A strong auto-didact, he has taught himself most of his entire skill set, is quick to adapt and learn, makes new contacts easily to broaden his network and has a very thorough understanding of the Web. Now he is running his own consultancy on web design, development and modern practices, and when not working for clients he is busy with innovative solutions and practices.
Whether you're a business, government body or educational institute, Faruk can offer you valuable information, techniques and insights to help you get a better understanding of how the Web works, what can make you stand out among the crowd, and how you can promote yourself successfully.
Personal Achievements
Faruk has developed one of the world's very first Content Management Systems that is truly built on web standards. This enterprise-level CMS guarantees clean, semantic XHTML markup and uses pure CSS for presentation. It is one of the few systems in the world that can guarantee valid output, regardless of user input.
Beyond the back-end programming, Faruk has developed a good eye for design, whether it is for websites, interfaces or information architecture on productions. He is a keen observer of patterns in usability and how interfaces play a role therein.
What makes him stand out is that Faruk uses a unique approach to situations. Rather than focusing heavily on one particular expertise, Faruk looks at things from all aspects in order to let every little part of the whole production work as fluently as possible with the others. This process results in products and designs that work better and are more seamlessly integrated.
As a result of that approach, Faruk has experienced each step that makes a website come together, from server to site, from interface to styling, from back-end to front-end.
Faruk's flexibility and versatility were recognized when he was offered to be Editor in Chief at a Model United Nations conference. The conference newspaper he produced was so well-received that he was repeatedly asked to return to the function, even long after he left the school.
